Why is my paid traffic not marked as paid in the app?

Some ad platforms don’t include identifying information when linking to your website, making it difficult for Propel Replays to recognize the visitor’s source.

Propel Replays supports UTM parameters as a workaround. Add the following to the end of your website URLs in your ads manager:

?utm_campaign=paid&utm_source=AD-PLATFORM-NAME

Original URL:

https://www.mystore.com/

Updated URL:

https://www.mystore.com/?utm_campaign=paid&utm_source=AD-PLATFORM-NAME

Note: Replace AD-PLATFORM-NAME with your ad platform’s name (e.g., Twitter). Use only letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores—no spaces or special characters.

Once implemented, Propel Replays will recognize the traffic as paid and attribute it to the specified ad platform. For additional information on UTM parameters, visit https://blog.hootsuite.com/how-to-use-utm-parameters
