What does the 'Customers can book... within a date range' option do?
This feature controls when customers can place bookings, not which dates they’re booking for. For example, customers would need to access your site between July 10th and July 14th to make a booking. Booking would be disabled outside that time period.
To specify the actual dates customers can book, you’ll need to use the “Set custom business hours for this product?” option and create a business hour override with your desired booking dates and times.
Example use case
Section titled “Example use case”For a class on July 1st where you want bookings open June 1-21:
- Set duration to class length (e.g., 6 hours)
- Enable group appointments with capacity
- Set booking window to June 1-21
- Create a business hour override for July 1st with matching hours (e.g., 9am-3pm)
This allows customers to book during the June 1-21 window for the actual July 1st class time.
